About

Adam Thomas

Adam began his electrical career in 2014. While undergoing the apprenticeship program at BCIT, Adam worked for the rapidly growing KYBE Electrical Contracting in North Vancouver. There, he quickly gained comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of the electrical trade, including residential, industrial, and commercial projects.

Over time, Adam gravitated toward the residential side of the trade, where he could apply his creative skills to designing electrical layouts for numerous homes. His experience expanded from handling small renovations to managing multi-million-dollar home projects. In 2018, Adam achieved his Red Seal Journeyman certification and started mentoring young apprentices, many of whom are now journey people themselves.

In 2019, Adam returned to his hometown of Victoria with his wife and two children. It was then that he founded A.R.T. Electric and began collaborating with various building contractors in the city. You may often see Adam working alongside his father, Rick Thomas, a retired dairy industry employee and now a second-year electrical apprentice.

In 2020, Adam earned his Master FSR-B credential, allowing A.R.T. Electric to pull electrical city permits.

When Adam is not working as an electrician, he juggles his other careers as an actor for screen, stage, and voice, and as an acting instructor at the Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts.
